Global Travel Writers Feature in ASTW Awards


The recent Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW) annual awards for excellence showcased the best of the Global Travel Writers (GTW) members’ work over the last twelve months.

“Our writers and photographers can be very proud,” said member Graham Simmons, who also co-ordinates work on behalf of the GTW Syndicate, “it demonstrates that our members continually strive for the highest standards in travel journalism and photography.”

Congratulations to;

John Borthwick; Winner of Travel Photograph of the Year (again) and finalist in the categories of Travel Writer of the Year (Destination Story Under 1000 Words) and Travel Writer of the Year Award (Destination Story Over 1000 Words). John won the under 1000 word category in 2005.

Sheriden Rhodes; a finalist in that same category, and

Roderick Eime; a GTW newcomer, was another finalist in the Photograph of the Year with this image
