From industrial chic to barefoot charm, Sheriden Rhodes surveys Thailand's hippest new resorts. I'm showering under a huge industrial steel pipe. To get the water flowing you turn the valve wheel and a strong flow of warm water gushes out. Behind me, rows of sun lounges and umbrellas are neatly arranged around a pool where the air and water temperature meld into one. A gushing waterfall lures swimmers and, once underneath, pummels away aches and pains. Meanwhile, a funky-looking pool attendant with a big smile and trendy shades delivers a cold towel, icy water and cubes of cool rockmelon to our spot in the shade.
